There seems to be some confusion about when and where we play HEAVY METAL on our radio stations so I will list it out here:

1. THE HEAVY METAL station - This station plays old skool metal of the eighties style but all bands are current and gigging, guitar solo's and screaming feedback is the order of the day, usually with vocals you can understand.

2. THE EXTREME METAL station - This station plays EXTREME METAL it do'es not take prisoners and it don't make apologys, playing Doom metal, Death metal, Hardcore metal it is not for the weak or faint hearted.

3. THE SEVENTIES METAL Station - This station does what it says on the label, it plays the best metal from the classic era of the seventies from Led Zeppelin to Black Sabbath with a bit of Deep Purple and ton's of other bands thrown in.

4. THE ROCKBOX - NEW BANDS HEAVY METAL FROM THE UK - This is played on the EVENING SESSIONS (4pm - 11.30pm) of The Rockbox station and all day on saturdays (9am 'till 11.30 pm) and is a mix of the best new bands in Great Britain playing all Metal genres (also metal/punk/screamo fusions etc) this station highlighs the UK'S VAST pool of talent. 5. PROGRESSIVE HEAVY METAL - Prog metal from around the world this is a huge Genre and we try to play a mix that reflects the scope of this music, the station includes timeless classics to the latest release's.
